What nine is, and who makes it

I built nine because I wanted a film team that could stay close to the work. I wanted to control the whole chain, from reading a brand to checking the finished frame, and I wanted the result to feel like the person who asked for it.

I used nine privately first. Now I am sharing it with the world, while keeping the same simple promise: you bring what you already have, and nine helps turn it into a film that sounds and looks like you.

Section 01What nine is

nine is the trading name of NorwAI AS, organisation number 920 631 908. nine is the part of the company that makes films, and what follows on this page is what nine does.

Two ways to use it:

• A film of your own. Nine uses automated tools to read the website or material you provide and put a film together. You can review the result and ask for changes.
• A preview you can explore. The free preview puts your colours on an existing Nine film. The sample keeps its original story; it is not a newly written film about your business.

So nine is not a marketplace or a tool you rent by the minute. It is a film team you keep.

Section 02What the free preview actually does

You give Nine the address of your website. The reader looks for your colours, name and lettering. In the free preview, your colours are applied to one of the existing films so you can see how they work.

Trying the sample colours is free. A film written from your own website or material comes with a plan. The prices page explains what each plan includes.

Section 03Making a film of your own

A film of your own starts with what you want to say and the material you provide. Sign in to your account, choose a plan and review the price shown before starting the work. Nine uses automated tools to build and check the film, and you can follow the work as it happens.

The checks can miss things. Review the finished film before you share it, and ask for changes when it needs them. The help page explains the current service and how to reach a person.

Section 04Why I built it

I have spent ten years in film as a colourist, an editor and a cinematographer. I kept seeing the same problem: people had plenty to say, but very few ways to turn it into a film that felt like them.

So I built nine from the ground up. I wanted to decide how a brand is read, how a frame is composed, how the result is checked, and what a person receives at the end. The standard is written down so the work can stay consistent as it grows.

I still use it privately. Sharing it now keeps the same aim: the film should keep the voice of the person who asked for it. You decide when your film is ready to share.

Section 05How nine treats what you send it

Your material is used to make your film:

• Bring material you have the right to use. Nine uses the website, words and files you provide to help make your film.
• Review what Nine reads. Check that the names, words and details are right before you use the result.
• Read the data policy. The privacy page explains what is stored, retention and deletion. Contact Nine with a request about your material.

Section 06What nine is not

nine makes films from the material you provide. Review any claims about your product, market or legal position before sharing a film. The terms explain the rights and responsibilities that apply.
