Every round, with the Boss's note

  1. the aviaprod.no film, first cut

    First cut

The first version that played start to finish, before the judges looked.

First cut has no sound. It was made before the sound, which Nine adds to the final.

  2. the aviaprod.no film, round 1

    Round 1 6.5

The Boss: 0 to 34 s: the picture is washed out (pale grey sky, peach and white theatre). From 6 to 15 s the birds are about 3% of the frame wide, so there is no clear main subject in real contrast until night.

Round 1 has no sound. It was made before the sound, which Nine adds to the final.

  3. the aviaprod.no film, round 2

    Round 2 7.0

The Boss: This is a real idea, told in their own words: a shouting advert empties the wire, and visible, gloved hands build a small story that brings the birds back. It ends on their own spark and their own gradient card.

Round 2 has no sound. It was made before the sound, which Nine adds to the final.

  4. the aviaprod.no film, final

    Final 7.5

Round 3, the one the Boss delivered

The Boss: Rebuild the ending (51 to 60 s) so that AVIA's card hangs beside the spark, not over it.

Make a film like this

Nine makes the film, the Boss judges every round, and you get the one that clears the bar.

Every score on this page is the one the Boss gave that round, on a scale of ten. The bar, 7, is the one the client set for this film. The first cut has no score: the judges had not looked at it yet. Made with Nine.
